Meet The Team

DeAnne is a Registered Dental Hygienist that has been with Starkville Smiles for 28 years. In her free time, DeAnne enjoys going to auctions and estate sales with her husband and spending time with her 4 grandchildren. 

Jean Ann has been with our Starkville Smiles team for 21 years cumulatively, beginning with 3 years as an assistant and the last 18 as a hygienist. In her time away from Starkville Smiles, she enjoys spending cherished time with her family, as well as being a perpetual student in the culinary world.

Brenda grew up in Arkansas although she is originally from California. She started her dental hygiene career in 1996 in Mississippi. She has moved around the country which gives her the unique experience of varying clinical perspectives. Brenda has seen significant changes in dental technology, regulations, and educational requirements throughout these years. She prioritizes building strong rapport with patients which makes her work personal and enjoyable. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends. 

Sara Wyatt has worked at Starkville Smiles as a Certified Dental Assistant and has been a life member of the ADAA for over 35 years. She has had the privilege to see many advances in the dental field. In her spare time, She is a mom to a 12-year-old daughter, who keeps her life exciting with gymnastic competitions and cheerleading events. She is also a mom to 3 cats and a dog. 

Lexie began her dental career at Starkville Smiles in the business office and is currently a dental assistant. She loves meeting patients and helping them get the smile they deserve! She is originally from Kosciusko and enjoys spending time with her husband and children. Her favorite verse is Joshua 1:9, 'Be strong and courageous; do not be frightened and do not be dismayed, or the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.'

Destiny has begun her career with Starkville Smiles and has the best time meeting people and helping them get the smiles they've always deserved. She is originally from Natchez and enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, family, friends, and her dog named Deuce. Her favorite quote is 'Live the life you love, love the life you live.' She loves all of her patients and interacting with them is the best part of her day. 

Emily is our new office manager with over 17 years of experience in dentistry, four and a half of which were at People's Dental! She graduated with an Associate Degree in Science before becoming a dental assistant for 12 years. She spent two and a half years as scheduling coordinator and two and a half years as insurance coordinator. Although she is new to Starkville Smiles, she has had positive working experiences with several of our team members over the years.  Her favorite thing about dentistry is seeing people gain their confidence back though dentistry and helping when people are experiencing pain or discomfort.  She enjoys working with people who have a passion for seeing their team thrive while meeting needs for His Glory! She is originally from McCool and enjoys spending time with her grandson Harlow and going the church. Her favorite quote is 'I'm not what I ought to be but Thank God I'm not what I used to be.' A fun fact about Emily is that in every decision she makes, she first considers how it will affect her journey to heaven. She believes that it cost nothing to be kind, we are all just walking each other home.

Kaylyn graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelors in Psychology in May 2025. She started her dental career four years ago while she pursued her studies. She worked as a sterilizer tech for Dr. Roger Wirtz and Dr. Heather Tutor. After graduating, she became the receptionist and referral coordinator for Dr. May and Dr. Roberts oral surgery office before joining Starkville Smiles as our Billing Coordinator. She loves working in Dentistry because she gets to see patients feel confident in their smile! She is originally from Flowood and enjoys reading, swimming, and spending time with family and her dogs. She loves ALL MSU athletics!

Kaden is a student at MSU and plans to graduate in May 2026 with a Bachelor's in Communications and Media Studies. She has begun her dental career with Starkville Smiles as our Scheduling Coordinator. Her favorite thing about our office is how positive everyone is and how they come into the office happy and wanting to be here. She love how supportive everyone and the feeling of being in a big family. Kaden is from Colorado, twenty hours from Starkville! She was a competitive cheerleader for twelve years and enjoys spending time with her friends, going to football games, and watching Dancing with the Stars. Even though she is new to working in a dental office, she is excited to build relationships with patients and learn all out the world of dentistry.  

Elizabeth, Dr. Herring's daughter, grew up in the Starkville Smiles office and spent time running the hallways and playing in the lab. She started working as a sterilizer tech at thirteen during the summers. After graduating from the University of Mississippi with a bachelor's in dental hygiene, she began working at Starkville Smiles along with her husband, Jonathan Woolfolk, who graduated from the University of Mississippi with a doctorate in dentistry.  She studied under her grandmother, Dr. Dora Herring, learning how to keep the books. She then used all of her skills to help Dr. Woolfolk open People's Dental. After purchasing Starkville Smiles in 2022, Elizabeth and Jon own and manage the two offices along with the amazing dental teams. Now, Elizabeth spends most of her time at Starkville Smiles as a interim manager. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, spending time with friends, and especially enjoys her three children John Parker, Natalie and Andrew.
